Technical purpose:
The purpose of this test is for general Heath, nutritional status- to see if it is adequate, and for the diagnosis of other disorders relating to kidney, liver, and blood.
Test process:
A sample of blood is drawn from a vein in the arm and tested. And results are usually ready in 12 hours
Test outcomes:
Results are considered along with CMP. However, the normal A/G ratio is 0.8-0.2. Although the albumin to globulin ratio has been used as an index of a disease state, it doesn’t indicate which proteins are altered.
